Links to today's crafts

December 20, 2008

First of all, thanks so much to the folks at KTNV-Channel 13 for having me on this morning.

Since you're probably here because I referenced something of interest to you, here are some quick links to what I was talking about.

Fun things to do with your toddler and preschooler in Vegas for the holidays

My best holiday tips

Here are instructions for the crafts I brought with me. I probably won't have time to do them all, but here you go.

The Christmas Tree ornament made from frozen juice concentrate lids
What you'll need:

  • Cleaned lids from frozen juice concentrate containers
  • Recycled holiday cards
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • A small nail
  • Hammer
  • A small piece of wood (you can nail into)

Place the lid over the image on the card and trace around it. Cut out the circle, following the line about 1/8 inch inside the circle. Glue the image onto the inside rim of the lid. Let dry.

Using the hammer, nail, and scrap of wood, pierce the top of the lid. Pull a ribbon through the lid. Continue to decorate, glue, glitter, etc. as you wish.
